Health ministry is an integral part of the mission of the Diocese of Kagera. Through its health institutions, the Diocese is committed to providing accessible, affordable, and compassionate healthcare that reflects Christ’s healing ministry while improving the well-being of individuals and communities.
The Diocese seeks to demonstrate Christ’s healing ministry by making quality healthcare accessible to all, especially vulnerable and underserved populations.
The Diocese operates Murgwanza Hospital, the Murgwanza Institute of Health and Allied Sciences (MURIHAS), and a network of health outreach programs. These facilities provide a wide range of services that respond to the health needs of individuals, families, and communities.
